Rules of Practical Training

1. Mining Engineering students are required 40 days of practical training.
2. At least 10 day of the training must be done in underground workplaces. The remaining 30 days should be done in different work fields, as mentioned in the table.

3. Practical training should be done after completion of the 1st class.
4. A week is considired as 5 business days during the practical training. For the acceptance of Saturdays and Sundays in practical training, an official (signed & stamped) document showing that the company is working on Saturdays and Sundays should be requested.
5. The documents required for the practical training must be delivered to the Practical Training Commission,  at least 15 days before the start date of the practical training.
6. The student is required to get a separate Practical Training  Book and Registration Slip before each practical training application. The Practical Training Book including Registration Slip may be obtained from the photocopy centers in the Engineering buildings. A photograph must be affixed on both documents.
7. Only different types of Practical Trainings will be accepted in same company. 
8. Practical Training can not be held during the education period of University, including summer school. Students who have completed all of their courses are excluded from this rule.
9. It is the student's responsibility to find suitable work places and the documents required by the company should be prepared by student.
10. Acceptance of the Practical Training is done by the Oral Exam held by the Practical Training Commission after the internship is completed. The Oral Exam date is announced by the commission after the Practical Training book is delivered to the comission.
